Kevin M. Holthaus, M.D.
Medical Director, North Florida Medical Clinic
Dr. Kevin Holthaus, Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine, is the President and Medical Director of North Florida Medical Clinic. Dr. Holthaus obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University in 1982, and completed his residency training at the University of Florida.
Dr. Holthaus has been in private practice in the Northeast Florida beaches communities since 1985, treating his loyal patients and their families for over 25 years. In addition, Dr. Holthaus is a Lieutenant Colonel, serving with the Florida National Guard as a flight surgeon and a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA, offering Class 1,2, & 3 Flight Physicals. Dr. Holthaus became certified by the American College of Sports Medicine in 1997 and has served as Team Physician for local high school athletic programs during his extensive career. He is also a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, offering a comprehensive weight management program at North Florida Medical Clinic. Dr. Holthaus specializes in geriatrics as well, and has served as Medical Director of an assisted living facility, skilled nursing unit and Alzheimer unit from 2000-2005.
As an accomplished Internist, Dr. Kevin Holthaus brings to our communities the expertise and diversity to assist all patients; from youth to eldercare, with their medical needs; from the diagnoses and treatment of chronic disease or traumatic injury, to wellness examinations and common medical problems.
Anthony M. Vetere, M.D., FACP
Dr. Anthony Vetere, Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine and Fellow American College of Physicians, has been with North Florida Medical Clinic since 2004. Dr. Vetere obtained his medical degree from Universite de Lille, France in 1980, and his residency training from Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Vetere has been in private practice in the Northeast Florida beaches communities from 1984 through 1996. He then worked in the Baptist Hospital system from 1996-2003, prior to joining North Florida Medical Clinic. At Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Dr. Vetere served as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine, Chief of Staff, and Chairman of the Credentialing Committee.
For the past six years, Dr. Vetere has been an Internist with North Florida Medical Clinic, serving the people of Ponte Vedra and the Jacksonville Beach area.
David M. Johnson MD, American Board of Family Medicine
Dr Johnson joined North Florida Medical Clinic in March of 2013 after working at a Baptist Primary Care office at the beach for 15 years. He has twice served as Chief of Family medicine at Baptist Beaches hospital over that span and previously maintained a busy inpatient service there also. He has now turned his attention to outpatient services only.
He graduated from undergraduate school at the University of South Carolina with honors from South Carolina College honors college in 1990, from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1995, and completed his residency in Family Practice at the University of Mississippi SC, Jackson MS.
Dr Johnson practices in the broad spectrum of Family Medicine but has become focused at chronic medical illness in adults. He believes that a patient's understanding of their disease and treatment is key to their good health .
He grew up in Charleston SC but moved to Jacksonville in 1998 and loves living and working at the beach with his wife and three young children.
Amy Barrow-Brumfield, P.A.-C, MSHSE
Ms. Amy Brumfield, certified Physician Assistant since 1995, has been with North Florida Medical Clinic since 1998. Ms Brumfield obtained her Masters of Health and Science Education in 1992 and her Bachelors of Science in Medicine degree in 1995 from the University of Florida.
Ms. Brumfield practiced in Cardiology, Family Practice and Internal Medicine before coming to North Florida Medical Clinic. Ms. Brumfield has been a Physician Assistant with North Florida Medical Clinic for over 12 years, serving the people of the Jacksonville Beach area.
Hazeline McCabe, P.A-C, MBSc
Ms. Hazeline McCabe, has been a certified Physician Assistant since 2009. Ms. McCabe attended East Carolina
University for her Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2004. Ms. McCabe earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida and a Masters in Biomedical Science from Barry University. Prior to coming to this office she worked in Family Practice for 5 years. Ms. McCabe is available to see both adults and children.
Ms. McCabe has two boys, ages 4 and 2 who keep her quite busy! When she is not working she likes to spend time with family, enjoy the beautiful beaches, and run.
Practice Administrator, North Florida Medical Clinic
Ms. McDonough is the Practice Administrator of North Florida Medical Clinic. Since 2005, she has overseen the daily operations, fiscal management, business development and personnel management of the corporation. Prior to moving to Florida, Ms. McDonough was Vice President of Occupational Health Plan, based in Dublin, Ohio. She established management contracts with over 25 hospitals, developing a network of hospital based occupational health centers within a tri-state area to deliver managed care services to clients. This unique program assisted business and industry with risk management services, significantly reducing employers’ costs through increased productivity and injury and illness treatment and management.
