Dr. Kevin Holthaus, Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine, is the President and Medical Director of North Florida Medical Clinic. Dr. Holthaus obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University in 1982, and completed his residency training at the University of Florida.
Dr. Holthaus has been in private practice in the Northeast Florida beaches communities since 1985, treating his loyal patients and their families for over 30 years. In addition, Dr. Holthaus is a Lieutenant Colonel, serving with the Florida National Guard as a flight surgeon and a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA, offering Class 1,2, & 3 Flight Physicals. Dr. Holthaus became certified by the American College of Sports Medicine in 1997 and worked with our local high school athletic programs. He is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, offering a comprehensive weight management program at North Florida Medical Clinic. Dr. Holthaus specializes in geriatrics as well, and served as Medical Director of an assisted living facility, skilled nursing unit and Alzheimer unit from 2000-2005.

David M. Johnson, M.D., American Board of Family Medicine
Dr. Johnson joined North Florida Medical Clinic in March of 2013 after working at a Baptist Primary Care office at the beach for 15 years. He has twice served as Chief of Family medicine at Baptist Beaches hospital over that span and previously maintained a busy inpatient service there also. He has now turned his attention to outpatient services only.
He graduated from undergraduate school at the University of South Carolina with honors from South Carolina College honors college in 1990, from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1995, and completed his residency in Family Practice at the University of Mississippi SC, Jackson MS.
Dr. Johnson practices in the broad spectrum of Family Medicine but has become focused at chronic medical illness in adults. He believes that a patient's understanding of their disease and treatment is key to their good health .
He grew up in Charleston SC but moved to Jacksonville in 1998 and loves living and working at the beach with his wife and four children.
Laura Triola, DNP, ARNP, FNP
Ms. Laura Triola is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She provides acute, chronic and preventive health care services to patients of all ages. She graduated with a BSN from the University of Maryland in Baltimore and began her nursing career at the University of Maryland Medical System in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. While completing a Master of Administrative Services degree from The Johns Hopkins University, she became employed in the healthcare insurance industry as a physician recruiter and quality improvement and credentialing specialist.
After moving to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and raising two sons, Andrew and Aidan, she worked as an operating and recovery room nurse. It was during these years that she obtained her MSN at the University of North Florida, fulfilling her longtime goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. Dr. Triola later returned to UNF and earned a doctorate degree of Nursing Practice. One of the benefits and joys of getting to know her patients' individualities, is understanding their personal values and collaboratively developing the best plan to meet their personal healthcare needs.
Stacey Williams, FNP-BC
Ms. Williams is a Family Nurse Practitioner, caring for patients of all ages with a wide variety of ailments and medical conditions. She is dual-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Stacey graduated from South University in Southern Georgia with Masters of Science in Nursing. She completed her program at the top of her class with honors and a 4.0 GPA.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a nurse for 12 years, caring for patients of all ages. She spent the last 6 years at Mayo Clinic working with transplant, ICU, Ortho and medical-surgical patients. She is an active member of the American nurses Credentialing Center. She is certified and licensed in Advanced Life support, Basic Life support, and Crisis Prevention.
She is a mother to 3 boys, loves gardening, bird watching, crafting, and shark teeth hunting! She is a Florida native and loves living near the beach. She loves being outdoors and spending time with her husband, children and pets. Ms. Williams is an outgoing people person, knowing a friendly smile and focused healthcare management brings improved patient wellness.
Lucy McDonough
Practice Administrator, North Florida Medical Clinic
Ms. McDonough is the Practice Administrator of North Florida Medical Clinic. Since 2005, she has overseen the daily operations, fiscal management, business development and personnel management of the corporation. Prior to moving to Florida, Ms. McDonough was Vice President of Occupational Health Plan, based in Dublin, Ohio, developing a network of hospital based occupational health centers. This unique program assisted business and industry with risk management services, significantly reducing employers’ costs through increased productivity and injury and illness treatment and management.
